Letters of Support

Debbie Larson writes…

Property Owners,

As I have served as your County Assessor for 36 years, I would like to thank you for your support.  I love Lincoln County and have loved serving as your Assessor.  I am retiring but I would like to leave knowing the office would be in good hands and my Deputy Assessor, Jason Rosas would be a great fit for that.

I have served with a great staff and Jason has worked in the office for 28 yeas and has a broad spectrum of knowledge.  There is a lot that happens in a day in the Assessor's office and having the background that Jason has would be extremely beneficial.

Property values for assessment purposes are based on market value as per the Wyoming State Constitution.  The County Assessor's office is REQUIRED to be within multiple statistics to be in compliance and there is a hearing with the State Board of Equalization annually to ensure that the County is in compliance county-wide.

The Department of Revenue annually audits each Assessor's office to make sure Assessors are functioning according to their Rules and Regulations that govern the mass appraisal process.  The Department audits each assessment area to make sure it is in compliance with the necessary statistics.

As much as any Assessor would love to lower values, what is more important is to be in compliance with the Constitution, the State Board of Equalization and the Department of Revenue regulations so that the State doesn't come into a County and equalize or set values.

I admire Jason for wanting to step up and run for Assessor because I can tell you after 36 years it is not an easy task.

Again, I thank you for your prior support and ask that you support Jason Rosas for County Assessor.

Sincerely,

Debbie Larson

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to offer my full endorsement and support for Jason Rosas for the position of Lincoln County Assessor.

I have known Jason and his family for nearly 49 years. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with him on many different projects. During my time managing the bank, Jason was always extremely helpful whenever I needed assistance with property value assessments and related matters. He has consistently demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to helping others.

I also served alongside Jason’s mother on the board for Turning Point for many years. After her passing, it became clear that Jason shared the same passion and dedication she had for supporting victims of domestic abuse. We invited Jason to become involved with the organization, and after speaking with him, we knew he would be an excellent addition to the board. His compassion for people and dedication to serving the community were immediately evident.

Jason has served as President of Turning Point for the past five to six years and has taken his leadership role very seriously. He has been a tremendous advocate for the program and for the individuals and families it serves. I cannot say enough positive things about his character, integrity, and commitment to our community.

I believe Jason would be an outstanding County Assessor. He is thoughtful, fair, patient, and willing to listen carefully to all sides before making decisions. He treats people with respect and compassion, qualities that are essential in public service.

I fully support Jason Rosas for Lincoln County Assessor and believe he would serve the community with honesty, professionalism, and dedication.

Sincerely,

Teresa A. Frommel
